Cat & Dog Imaging in Boca Raton, FL

Without digital imaging or our in-house lab, we would lose a very valuable component of veterinary medicine. Cat and dog imaging allows us to develop a deeper understanding of your pet’s health. This, in turn, helps us prescribe more effective treatments for their recovery and long-term wellness. At 441 Animal Hospital in Boca Raton, we have an extensive laboratory unit as well as a x-ray and ultrasound capabilities. All of these give us a different piece of your pet’s health puzzle so we can more clearly see the whole picture. Call us at (561) 482-5600 to make an appointment today.

Our Laboratory

We work with an outside lab for routine screenings. Yet, for urgent cases that need immediate results, we're able to use our in-house lab. We can complete the analysis on the spot and deliver a treatment plan right away. Common tests we can run include:

  • CBC (complete blood count)
  • Blood chemistry panels
  • Urinalysis
  • Fecal Exams
  • Cytology (testing skin samples for abnormalities)
  • And more!

Blood work helps us to recognize abnormalities as well as established a baseline for your pet's health. Understanding their normal results means we can better recognize even slight changes in the future.

Imaging Technology

Our cat and dog imaging technology helps us see your entire pet from the inside out. X-rays and ultrasound work together to give us a comprehensive view of your pet’s internal structures.

Digital X-ray is much more efficient than film X-ray. It takes faster, clearer images while using significantly less radiation. Ultrasound uses ultrasonic sound waves to create a live image of your pet’s organs and abdominal cavity. We use X-ray and ultrasound to help us diagnose the following:

  • Heart, liver, kidney, and bladder disease
  • Locating foreign bodies
  • Gastrointestinal obstruction
  • Fractures
  • Degenerative conditions
  • And more!

With our cat and dog imaging technology, we’re able to deliver more exact diagnoses, which results in more accurate and effective treatments. Contact us today at (561) 482-5600 to learn more about our diagnostic tools!
