Dr. Levy

Dr. Andrew Levy, DVM, Owner

Growing up, Dr. Levy volunteered at the local animal hospital every chance he could get and formed an immediate bond with the small animal patients. It was with this experience that his desire to become a veterinarian was born. After earning a B.S. in Microbiology from The Ohio State University, Dr. Levy earned his DVM from Gregorio Araneta University in 1984 and went on to complete a one-year externship in small animal medicine and surgery at Purdue University. He then moved to New York City to continue his postgraduate training, completing a one-year internship at the Animal Medical Center.

Dr. Levy’s passion for veterinary medicine has never wavered. In 1996, After ten years of practice at other veterinary hospitals in New York and South Florida, Dr. Levy opened 441 Animal Hospital in Boca Raton. What he loves most about veterinary medicine is its diversity which allows him to practice medicine, surgery, ophthalmology, dermatology, and more. The most rewarding experience of being a veterinarian, though, is developing relationships with owners through the care he provides to their four-legged family members.

Dr. Levy has been happily married to his wife, Lisa, for 31 years and together they have four wonderful children of whom they are extremely proud. Their oldest, Robert, is completing his residency in Pediatrics at Children's Hospital Colorado. Robert has triplet siblings, Jacob, Ariana, and Gabrielle who are two years younger. Jacob is in medical school at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine; Gabrielle is an Integrated Producer at McCann New York, and Ariana, who lives with her sister in New York City, is a Production Manager in the fashion industry.

At home, Dr. Levy has four dogs: three Australian Shepherds named Molly, Lola, and Riley, and a long-haired Chihuahua named Bruno. Outside of work, he most enjoys watching his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes, as well as learning and practicing magic, exercising, and spending time with his family. You might also find him re-reading his favorite book, The Winds of War by Herman Wouk, or watching his favorite movie, The Godfather.
